Project Nine is a nationally touring rock act based out of Biloxi, Mississippi. Founded in 2014, the band delivers a hybrid rock sound, bringing together a mix of melody and hard- edged energy inspired by a variety of rock influences. The band's debut album Sounds and Shadows (available on physical copy and soon to be digitally released) ranges from the fist pumping hard rocker single "Should Have Known" to the dark and moody "The Shadow," to high energy, motivational anthems "This Time" and "American Dream."
Project Nine was the regional winner of the Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands shortly after the band's inception in 2014, and performed at the Gulfport date of the Rockstar Uproar Tour. Project Nine hit the ground running from there, building a following across the Gulf South's rock scene, performing alongside local, regional and national acts as well as at special events and festivals. With the release of their debut album Sounds and Shadows, the band began taking their music and their dynamic live energy to stages across the country, and in early 2017 launched the first leg of their American Dream tour, which included shows in Los Angeles, Concord, Flagstaff, Houston, Austin, San Antonio and more. Project Nine is a member of the Mississippi Music Project and in 2018 was the winner of the South MS category in the first annual MS Hard Rock and Metal Awards. The band actively performs throughout the Southeast region as well, and has no intention to slow down now. The trio consists of guitarist and singer Scott K, drummer Chad Wilson, and bassist Simeon Maldonado.
